Banks Brothers Productions, the brainchild of Actor/Playwright Vincent Victoria
and brothers Jamaine and Jamarcus Banks, was started in 2008.

Their first production was the acclaimed Satirical Musical "They Don't Want Hear Sing!" About Hattie McDaniel the first African American to win an Acdemy Award. The show was produced successfully both in 2008 and 2011.

Their second show "Auntie Shameka: Woman of the Ghetto!" was the surprise hit comedy on the Houston Theater scene in the Summer of 2010. "Auntie Shameka",an irrerverent parody of the hit Broadway classic "Auntie Mame", had audiences rolling in the aisles .

Auntie Shameka’s Sixth Husband, which premiered in 2013 was their third production and their most successful to date, played to sold out audiences.

Looking to reach an even wider audience, their next project was the black comedy “The Cousin Cleotha War” which opened in March 2014. The show focused on three actresses fighting for one role in a major Hollywood movie. The show stunned the capacity audiences with its satirical look at the ruthlessness and ambition of actors in Tinseltown. "The Cousin Cleotha War" was a critical and popular favorite.

Their next production will be "Blaque Cherie" a fictional account about the founding of the first African American Girlie magazine during the 1950's.

Banks Brothers Productions is also looking for talented singers, comedians, playwrights, and rappers to include in our upcoming showcases for local talent. For more information feel free to contact BBP @ 1-888-960-1634.
